Pṛthu Mahārāja Milks the Earth (Bhūmi-dugdha) and Organizes Human Settlement
ततो महीपति: प्रीत: सर्वकामदुघां पृथु: । दुहितृत्वे चकारेमां प्रेम्णा दुहितृवत्सल: ॥ २८ ॥
tato mahīpatiḥ prītaḥ sarva-kāma-dughāṁ pṛthuḥ duhitṛtve cakāremāṁ premṇā duhitṛ-vatsalaḥ
Después, el rey Pṛthu quedó muy complacido con la Tierra, pues ella abastecía suficientemente de alimento a todos los seres y se mostró como la vaca que concede todos los deseos. Pṛthu, tierno como un padre con su hija, la amó y la trató como si fuese su propia hija.
