मैत्रेय उवाच अथ तस्य पुनर्विप्रैरपुत्रस्य महीपते: । बाहुभ्यां मथ्यमानाभ्यां मिथुनं समपद्यत ॥ १ ॥

Maitreya dijo: Oh Vidura, los brāhmaṇas y los grandes sabios volvieron a batir los dos brazos del cuerpo muerto del rey Vena, que no tenía hijo. Como resultado surgió una pareja, varón y mujer, de sus brazos.
