Sukta 3
यथा यशः कन्याऽयां यथास्मिन्त्संभृते रथे । एवा मे वरणो मणिः कीर्तिं भूतिं नि यच्छतु तेजसा मा समुक्षतु यशसा समनक्तु मा
yáthā yáśaḥ kanyā́yāṃ yáthāsmínt sáṃbhṛte ráthe | evā́ me varuṇó maṇíḥ kīrtíṃ bhūtíṃ ní yacchatu téjasā mā sáṃ ukṣatu yáśasā sáṃ anaktu mā
As glory is in a maiden, as (it is) in this well-appointed chariot, so may the Varuṇa-amulet for me fasten firm fame and thriving; with splendour may it bedew me, with glory may it anoint me.
Como la gloria está en una doncella, como (está) en este carro bien provisto, así que para mí el amuleto de Varuṇa afiance firmemente fama y prosperidad; con esplendor que me rocíe, con gloria que me unja.
