Sukta 3
यथा सूर्यो अतिभाति यथास्मिन् तेज आहितम्। एवा मे वरणो मणिः कीर्तिं भूतिं नि यच्छतु तेजसा मा समुक्षतु यशसा समनक्तु मा
yáthā sū́ryo atibhā́ti yáthāsmín téja ā́hitam | evā́ me varuṇó maṇíḥ kī́rtiṃ bhū́tiṃ ní yacchatu téjasā mā́ samúkṣatu yáśasā sám anak tu mā ||
As the Sun shines forth surpassingly, as splendour is deposited in this,—even so may for me Varuṇa’s amulet establish fame and thriving; with brilliance may it thoroughly bathe me, with glory may it wholly anoint me.
Como el Sol brilla de modo supremo, como en esto está depositado el esplendor,—así que el amuleto de Varuṇa me afiance la fama y el florecimiento; con su brillo que me bañe por completo, con su gloria que me unja enteramente.
