FAQs

Devotional acclamation (‘jaya deva’) is presented as communal and embodied—bhakti is not only interior sentiment but also public, ordered participation (procession, leadership, collective praise).

Falls under Vamśānucarita-style narrative material (it is an episode within mythic history). It does not describe creation/dissolution but the functioning of divine communities.

Vīrabhadra at the head symbolizes Śiva’s protective and martial energy organizing the divine retinue; the mention of Pāśupatas signals Śiva’s identity as Paśupati (Lord of beings), integrating sectarian markers into Purāṇic narrative.
