Yogatattva
जिह्वया यद्रसं ह्यत्ति तत्तदात्मेति भावयेत् । त्वचा यद्यत्स्पृशेद्योगी तत्तदात्मेति भावयेत् ॥७१॥
जिह्वया यत् रसम् हि अत्ति तत् तत् आत्मा इति भावयेत् । त्वचा यत् यत् स्पृशेत् योगी तत् तत् आत्मा इति भावयेत् ॥
jihvayā yad rasaṃ hy atti tat tad ātmeti bhāvayet | tvacā yad yat spṛśed yogī tat tad ātmeti bhāvayet ||71||
Whatever taste the tongue truly partakes of and enjoys, one should contemplate it as: “That is the Ātman.” Whatever the yogin touches with the skin, one should contemplate it as: “That is the Ātman.”
Whatever taste the tongue indeed eats (enjoys)—one should contemplate that as ‘that is the Self’. Whatever the yogin touches with the skin—one should contemplate that as ‘that is the Self’.
