Verse 66

Yogatattva

ततो भवेद् घटावस्था पवनाभ्यासतत्परा । प्राणोऽपानो मनो बुद्धिर्जीवात्मपरमात्मनोः ॥ अन्योन्यस्याविरोधेन एकता घटते यदा । घटावस्थेति सा प्रोक्ता तच्चिह्नानि ब्रवीम्यहम् ॥६५-६६॥

ततः । भवेत् । घट-अवस्था । पवन-अभ्यास-तत्-पराः । प्राणः । अपानः । मनः । बुद्धिः । जीव-आत्म-परम-आत्मनोः । अन्योन्यस्य । अविरोधेन । एकता । घटते । यदा । घट-अवस्था-इति । सा । प्रोक्ता । तत्-चिह्नानि । ब्रवीमि । अहम् ॥६५-६६॥

tato bhaved ghaṭāvasthā pavanābhyāsatatparā | prāṇo 'pāno mano buddhir jīvātmaparamātmanoḥ || anyonyasyāvirodhena ekatā ghaṭate yadā | ghaṭāvasthā iti sā proktā tacchihnāni bravīmy aham ||65–66||

Then arises the ‘ghaṭa-stage’, devoted to the discipline of the breath. When prāṇa and apāna, mind and intellect, and the individual self and the Supreme Self come to unity without mutual opposition, that is declared to be the ghaṭa-stage. Its signs I shall describe.
