This is the great Upaniṣad of Tripurā, wherein the Supreme Imperishable is praised with sacred utterances. This teaching is the highest essence of the Ṛg and the Yajus; and indeed it is the Sāman; it belongs to the Atharvan; and it is also another, higher knowledge. “Oṃ hrīm; Oṃ hrīm”—thus is the Upaniṣad.

This is the great Upaniṣad of Tripurā, in which the Supreme Imperishable is praised with sacred utterances. This (teaching) is the supreme (essence) of the Ṛg and Yajus; and this indeed is the Sāman; this is of the Atharvan; and it is also another (higher) knowledge. ‘Oṃ hrīm; Oṃ hrīm’—thus is the Upaniṣad.

Brahman as Akṣara (the Imperishable); mantra as upāsanā and vidyā (higher knowledge)Mahavakya: Indirect—supports mahāvākya teaching by identifying the Imperishable Brahman as the ultimate purport (tātparya) of Vedic revelation; aligns especially with ‘ayam ātmā brahma’ in intent (Brahman as the ultimate reality to be realized).AtharvaChandas: Prose (mixed upaniṣadic style; not a strict Vedic metrical ṛc)
