समाने वृक्षे पुरुषो निमग्नोऽनिशया शोचति मुह्यमानः । जुष्टं यदा पश्यत्यन्यमीशमस्य महिमानमिति वीतशोकः ॥ २॥

IAST Transliteration

samāne vṛkṣe puruṣo nimagno 'niśayā śocati muhyamānaḥ | juṣṭaṃ yadā paśyaty anyam īśam asya mahimānam iti vītaśokaḥ || 2 ||

Translation

On the same tree the person, sunk in attachment, grieves day and night, deluded by helplessness. But when he sees the other—the Lord, worthy of worship—and His greatness, he becomes free from sorrow.

Academic Translation

On the same tree the person, sunk (in attachment), grieves, being deluded by helplessness. But when he sees the other— the Lord, worshipped (and) His greatness—he becomes free from sorrow.
