Mundaka

तदेतत् सत्यमृषिरङ्गिराः पुरोवाच नैतदचीर्णव्रतोऽधीते । नमः परमऋषिभ्यो नमः परमऋषिभ्यः ॥११॥

तत् । एतत् । सत्यम् । ऋषिः । अङ्गिराः । पुरा । उवाच । न । एतत् । अचीर्ण-व्रतः । अधीते । नमः । परम-ऋषिभ्यः । नमः । परम-ऋषिभ्यः ॥

tad etat satyam ṛṣir aṅgirāḥ purovāca naitad acīrṇavrato ’dhīte | namaḥ paramarṣibhyo namaḥ paramarṣibhyaḥ ||11||

This indeed is the truth the seer Aṅgiras proclaimed of old: one who has not fulfilled the requisite vows and disciplines does not study or attain this teaching. Homage to the supreme seers; homage to the supreme seers.

This indeed is the truth which the seer Aṅgiras declared of old: one who has not performed (the requisite) observances does not study/attain this (teaching). Homage to the supreme seers; homage to the supreme seers.
