Covered by the māyā of sound, one does not pass through the darkness in the lotus-like place. When the darkness is split, the One alone beholds unity.

Covered by the māyā of sound, one does not indeed go (see) through darkness in the lotus(-like place). And when the darkness is split, the one alone beholds unity.

Māyā/avidyā as veiling; śabda (sound) as distraction/construct; tamas (darkness) as ignorance; ekatva-darśana (vision of oneness)Mahavakya: Aligns with ‘prajnānam brahma’ by implying that when ignorance is removed, pure knowing reveals non-dual unity; also supports ‘tat tvam asi’ as the culmination is ekatva (non-separation).AtharvaAtharva-veda (commonly transmitted with the Atharva corpus; specific śākhā not securely attested) ShakhaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
