It presents the Shaiva ideal of sāttvika relationship and community life—mutual devotion, fidelity to dharma, tenderness, and respectful conduct—which stabilizes the mind and supports bhakti toward Pati (Shiva).
Linga-worship is upheld not only by offerings but by inner discipline: humility (namaskāra), loyalty to vows (anuvrata), and loving harmony among devotees—qualities pleasing to Saguna Shiva and conducive to grace.
Practice daily namaskāra with the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and keep anuvratas—truthfulness, non-injury, purity, and respectful speech—so outer worship aligns with inner devotion.
