Sanatkumāra said: Having spoken thus, Śaṅkara again addressed Kṛṣṇa with reverence; and, having also spoken with Hari (Viṣṇu) and Vidhi (Brahmā), he uttered words that destroy afflictions.
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: teaching
The verse highlights Śiva as the compassionate Pati whose instruction is “kleśa-nāśana”—capable of dissolving the soul’s afflictions and leading it toward clarity, devotion, and liberation through grace and right understanding.
By portraying Śaṅkara personally addressing devotees and cosmic deities, the text emphasizes Saguna Śiva—approachable, communicative, and gracious—whose worship (including Liṅga-upāsanā) is a direct means for removing inner suffering and obstacles.
A practical takeaway is śravaṇa (devotional listening) and japa: receive and repeat Śiva’s klesha-destroying teaching with reverence—especially through steady Panchākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a daily discipline.
