The verse highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace) as the force that removes fear and restores inner steadiness; in Shaiva thought, fear dissolves when the soul relies on Pati (Śiva) rather than on limited personal power.
Śiva speaks as the compassionate Saguna Lord who actively protects and guides devotees; Linga-worship similarly approaches Śiva as the accessible, grace-giving presence who grants fearlessness and right outcome.
Practice fearlessness through japa and surrender—especially Panchākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and a prayer for Śiva’s anugraha to steady the mind in crisis.
