रुद्रस्य रणप्रवेशः तथा दैत्यगणानां बाणवृष्टिः
Rudra Enters the Battlefield; the Daityas’ Arrow-Storm
खड्गरोमशिरः कायात्तथा परशुनाच्छिनत् । बलाहकस्य च शिरः खट्वांगेनाकरोद्द्विधा
khaḍgaromaśiraḥ kāyāttathā paraśunācchinat | balāhakasya ca śiraḥ khaṭvāṃgenākaroddvidhā
With an axe he severed Khaḍgaroma’s head from his body; and with a khaṭvāṅga staff he split Balāhaka’s head into two. Thus the foes were struck down in the fierce surge of battle, displaying the irresistible might that prevails when the Lord’s side is upheld.
