संध्याचरित्रवर्णनम् (Sandhyā-caritra-varṇanam) — “Narration of Sandhyā’s Austerity and Encounter with Śiva”
त्वं च लोके सतीभावं तादृशं समवाप्नुहि । त्रिषु लोकेषु नान्यस्या यादृशं संभविष्यति
tvaṃ ca loke satībhāvaṃ tādṛśaṃ samavāpnuhi | triṣu lokeṣu nānyasyā yādṛśaṃ saṃbhaviṣyati
“And you too, in this world, shall attain such a state of Satī-hood (Satī-bhāva). In the three worlds there will be no other woman in whom such a nature and excellence will arise.”
Brahma
Tattva Level: pashu
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
The verse proclaims Satī’s unique spiritual stature—her unsurpassed fidelity and single-pointed devotion—which Shaiva Siddhanta reads as exemplary surrender of the individual soul (paśu) to Lord Shiva, the Supreme Lord (Pati).
Satī’s ‘satī-bhāva’ models unwavering devotion to Saguna Shiva—personal Lordship accessible through worship—often centered on the Shiva-Linga as the sacred focus for love, reverence, and disciplined purity.
The takeaway is steadfast bhakti with purity of intent—supportable through regular japa of Shiva’s mantra (especially Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and consistent Shiva-pūjā as a stabilizing daily discipline.
