Then Viṣṇu—reverently bowed to by the hosts of gods, the Siddhas, the leaders of the Gaṇas, and the great Ṛṣis—addressed the Devas with respectful humility.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the scene; Viṣṇu is the one who speaks next within the story)
Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights the Shaiva virtue of sannati—humble reverence—showing that even exalted beings like Viṣṇu and the Devas uphold devotion and respectful conduct, which purifies the mind and prepares it for Shiva-oriented realization.
The verse emphasizes namaskāra and ādarā (reverent approach), which are essential attitudes in Saguna Shiva worship—approaching the Linga with humility, acknowledging Shiva as the supreme Pati who grants grace.
Practice deliberate namaskāra (prostration) with inward surrender before japa or pūjā—especially while chanting the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—letting humility become the foundation of devotion.
