आत्मतंत्रस्य तस्यापि परस्य परमात्मनः । क उपायं विधित्सेद्वै परं मूढं विरोधिनम्
ātmataṃtrasya tasyāpi parasya paramātmanaḥ | ka upāyaṃ vidhitsedvai paraṃ mūḍhaṃ virodhinam
He is self-ruled; indeed, that Supreme Paramātmā is beyond all control. What means could anyone devise to restrain or overrule that utterly deluded opponent who stands in contradiction to Him?

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It affirms Shiva as the self-sufficient Supreme (Pati), beyond coercion or manipulation; liberation arises through surrender, devotion, and right understanding—not through opposing the divine order.
Linga-worship trains the devotee to approach the transcendent, self-ruled Shiva through a sacred form; instead of trying to ‘control’ reality, one aligns the ego with Shiva’s will through pūjā, mantra, and reverence.
Adopt a posture of śaraṇāgati (surrender): japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), steady meditation on Shiva as Paramātmā, and devotional disciplines like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to humility and remembrance.
