Having praised the Divine Couple with cherished and fitting words, and having circumambulated them in joy, they extolled the wedding as well; thereafter they departed to their own abodes.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It presents bhakti expressed through praise and circumambulation as an auspicious, purifying response to Shiva’s sacred līlā—honoring the Divine Couple and returning with uplifted consciousness.
Circumambulation and verbal stuti are core acts of Saguna Shiva worship; the same reverence offered to Shiva-Parvati here is mirrored in temple practice around the Shiva Linga.
Perform stuti (hymnic praise) and parikrama with a joyful, focused mind—an actionable takeaway aligned with Shiva-puja, especially during festivals like Mahashivratri.
