नारद त्वं च भगवन्संगीय शिवयोर्यशः । आगमो भवनं स्वं च शिवौ पृष्ट्वा मुनीश्वर
nārada tvaṃ ca bhagavansaṃgīya śivayoryaśaḥ | āgamo bhavanaṃ svaṃ ca śivau pṛṣṭvā munīśvara
O Nārada, revered sage, sing of the glory of Śiva and his divine consort. Having respectfully questioned Śiva and Śivā, return again to your own abode.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
Offering: dipa
It upholds bhakti as a direct means of grace: glorifying Śiva together with Śivā (His Śakti) purifies the mind and turns the devotee toward Pati, the liberating Lord, consistent with Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on divine grace.
By instructing Nārada to sing Śiva’s glory, the verse points to saguna-upāsanā—devotion to Śiva with attributes—commonly expressed through kīrtana, stotra, and Linga-worship where the devotee praises the Lord’s names, forms, and deeds.
Kīrtana and nāma-smaraṇa (singing and remembrance of Shiva’s names) are implied; practically, one may pair this with Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga pūjā with vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) as an offering of devotion.
