चित्रकूटप्राप्तिः — Bharata Reaches Chitrakuta and Beholds Rama
ददर्श वने तस्मिन्महत स्सञ्चयान्कृतान्।मृगाणां महिषाणां च करीषै शशीतकारणात्।।2.99.7।।
śatrughnaś cāpi rāmasya vavande caraṇau rudan |
tāv ubhau sa samāliṅgya rāmaś cāśrūṇy avartayat || 2.99.40 ||
Śatrughna too, weeping, bowed at Rāma’s feet; Rāma embraced both of them and shed tears as well.
He also beheld large heaps of dried cakes of dung of buffaloes and deer for use against cold in the forest.
Dharma of reverence and familial devotion: Śatrughna honors Rama as elder and rightful exemplar; Rama responds with compassionate acceptance.
In the forest meeting, Śatrughna bows at Rama’s feet; Rama embraces the brothers and weeps.
