चित्रकूटमार्गवर्णनम् — Bharata’s Army Reaches Chitrakuta and Searches for Rama
खुरैरुदीरितो रेणुर्दावं प्रच्छाद्य तिष्ठति। तं वहत्यनिल श्श्रीघ्रं कुर्वन्निव मम प्रियम्।।2.93.15।।
khurair udīrito reṇur dāvaṃ pracchādya tiṣṭhati | taṃ vahatyanilaḥ śīghraṃ kurvann iva mama priyam ||2.93.15||
The dust kicked up by the horses’ hooves blankets the forest; yet the wind swiftly carries it away, as though it were acting to give me relief.
While the dust kicked by the hooves of the horses enveloped the forest, the wind, as if to please me, is quickly blowing them away.
Dharma here is expressed as steadfast resolve in a righteous mission: Bharata’s mind is fixed on finding Rama, and even the natural scene is read as aiding that duty.
Bharata, moving through the forest with his party, observes the dust raised by the horses and comments on how the wind quickly clears it.
Bharata’s focused determination and hopeful attentiveness—he interprets signs in nature as supporting the urgent, dutiful search for Rama.
