भरद्वाजाश्रमे भरतसैन्यस्य दिव्यात्मिथ्यम् / Divine Hospitality to Bharata’s Army at Bharadvaja’s Hermitage
तत स्तत्र मुहूर्तेन नद्यः पायसकर्दमाः।उपातिष्ठन्त भरतं भरद्वाजस्य शासनात्।।।।
tataḥ statra muhūrtena nadyaḥ pāyasa-kardamāḥ | upātiṣṭhanta bharataṃ bharadvājasya śāsanāt ||
Then, in that very place and within a moment, rivers whose ‘mud’ was sweet pāyasa came forth and waited upon Bharata—by Bharadvāja’s command.
Rivers filled with payasam (rice cooked in milk and sugar) in the shape of mud flowed towards Bharata at the command of Bharadwaja.
Dharma is shown as the sage’s power being used for service: extraordinary capability (tapas) is directed toward caring for guests, not self-display.
Bharadvāja’s hospitality becomes miraculous—abundant food appears in the form of rivers of sweet pāyasa at his command.
Bharadvāja’s benevolence and mastery—spiritual attainment is exercised as compassionate provision.
