भरद्वाजाश्रमे भरतसैन्यस्य दिव्यात्मिथ्यम् / Divine Hospitality to Bharata’s Army at Bharadvaja’s Hermitage
ततोऽभ्यवर्षन्त घना दिव्याः कुसुमवृष्टयः।दिव्यदुन्दुभिघोषश्च दिक्षु सर्वासु शुश्रुवे।।।।
tato ’bhyavarṣanta ghanā divyāḥ kusumavṛṣṭayaḥ | divyadundubhighoṣaś ca dikṣu sarvāsu śuśruve ||
Then dense, divine clouds poured down a rain of flowers, and the sound of heavenly kettledrums was heard in every direction.
Then divine clouds rolled in and showered celestial flowers. The sounds of heavenly gongs could be heard in every direction.
Dharma is affirmed by cosmic approval: the tradition frames righteous hospitality and sacred intention as drawing celebratory signs from the divine realm.
The atmosphere becomes festive and supernatural—flowers fall and divine drums resound as the invoked beings participate.
Merit (puṇya) manifesting as auspicious signs, reflecting the sage’s purity and the worthiness of the guests.
