गङ्गातरणम् — Bharata’s Ferrying of the Army across the Ganga

गुहस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा तत्तु स्नेहादुदीरितम्।रामस्यानुवशो वाक्यं भरतोऽपीदमब्रवीत्।।।।

sā puṇyā dhvajinī gaṅgāṃ dāśaiḥ santāritā svayam | maitre muhūrte prayayau prayāgavanam uttamam ||

That auspicious host, ferried across the Gaṅgā by the fishermen, proceeded onward and, at the Maitra muhūrta, reached the excellent forest region of Prayāga.

On hearing Guha's affectionate words Bharata, ever obedient to Rama, replied:

G
Gaṅgā
F
fishermen (dāśa)
P
Prayāga
P
Prayāga forest
M
Maitra muhūrta
A
army (dhvajinī)

Dharma is linked with purposeful movement guided by auspicious order: the journey proceeds in a disciplined way, respecting sacred geography and proper timing.

After crossing the Gaṅgā with help from fishermen, Bharata’s force advances to the Prayāga forest area.

Collective discipline and reverence for sacred space/time in undertaking a serious mission.
