गुहसंवादः—रामस्य रात्रिवासवर्णनम् (Dialogue with Guha: Account of Rama’s Night Halt)
अन्नमुच्चावचं भक्षाः फलानि विविधानि च।रामायाभ्यवहारार्थं बहुचोपहृतं मया।।।।
annam uccāvacaṃ bhakṣāḥ phalāni vividhāni ca |
rāmāyābhyavahārārthaṃ bahu copahṛtaṃ mayā ||
I brought for Rāma, for his meal, rice of many kinds, assorted foods, and various fruits—offered in great abundance.
I offered Rama rice including a variety of eatables like fruits in great quantity for his food.
The verse foregrounds dāna and hospitality: a host’s dharma is to provide food and care to a guest, especially one in hardship.
Guha recounts how he arranged abundant provisions for Rāma’s meal during Rāma’s forest-exile journey.
Guha’s generosity and attentive service (ātithya) toward Rāma.
