I brought for Rāma, for his meal, rice of many kinds, assorted foods, and various fruits—offered in great abundance.

I offered Rama rice including a variety of eatables like fruits in great quantity for his food.

Rāma

The verse foregrounds dāna and hospitality: a host’s dharma is to provide food and care to a guest, especially one in hardship.

Guha recounts how he arranged abundant provisions for Rāma’s meal during Rāma’s forest-exile journey.

Guha’s generosity and attentive service (ātithya) toward Rāma.
