That army, filled with joy and high spirits, followed Bharata, Kaikeyī’s son—devoted to his brother—as he set out to bring his brother back.
The army, overwhelmed with joy and cheer followed the devoted brother Bharata who had set out to bring back Rama.
Dharma here is fraternal duty aligned with truth: Bharata’s mission is to restore rightful order by seeking Rāma’s return, showing commitment to what is just rather than to personal gain.
Bharata travels to retrieve Rāma, and the army gladly accompanies him, trusting the righteousness of the purpose.
Bharata’s bhrātṛ-vātsalya (brotherly devotion) and integrity—his resolve to act for Rāma and for dharma.
