मम दुःखमिदं पुत्र भूयस्समुपजायते।शपथै श्शपमानो हि प्राणानुपरुणत्सि मे।।।।

Transliteration

sa tu rāmānujaś cāpi śatrughnasahitas tadā | pratasthē bharato yatra kausalyāyā niveśanam ||

Translation

Then Bharata, the younger brother of Rāma, accompanied by Śatrughna, proceeded to where Kausalyā’s residence was.

O son! by swearing on oaths, you are choking the very breath of my life and my suffering has grown still more.
