Shloka 2.75.22
अयोध्याकाण्डे पञ्चसप्ततितमः सर्गः (Sarga 75: Bharata and Kausalya—Reproach, Oaths, and Reconciliation)
प्रेष्यं पापीयसां यातु सूर्यञ्च प्रतिमेहतु।हन्तु पादेन गां सुप्तां यस्याऽर्योऽनुमते गतः।।।।
preṣyaṃ pāpīyasāṃ yātu sūryaṃ ca pratimehatu | hantu pādena gāṃ suptāṃ yasyāryo 'numate gataḥ ||
May the one by whose sanction my noble brother went into exile incur these sins: servitude under the most wicked, urinating facing the sun, and kicking a sleeping cow.
May the one who counselled the exile of my esteemed brother, Rama be cursed with the sin of undergoing servitude in the hands of most sinful of men, the sin of passing urine facing the Sun and of kicking a sleeping cow.
It condemns complicity in unrighteous exile: causing a truth-bound noble person to suffer is treated as grave adharma, worthy of severe moral censure.
Bharata intensifies his defense by calling down ritual-moral consequences on whoever truly sanctioned Rāma’s banishment, distancing himself from that act.
Bharata’s moral outrage at injustice and his protective loyalty toward Rāma.
