रामाभिषेकपूर्वसज्जा — Preparations for Rama’s Coronation
ततः पौरजनस्सर्वश्श्रुत्वा रामाभिषेचनम्।प्रभातां रजनीं दृष्ट्वा चक्रे शोभयितुं पुरीम्।।2.6.10।।
tataḥ paurajanaḥ sarvaḥ śrutvā rāmābhiṣecanam | prabhātāṃ rajanīṃ dṛṣṭvā cakre śobhayituṃ purīm || 2.6.10 ||
Thereafter, all the citizens, having heard of Rāma’s consecration, and seeing that the night had brightened into dawn, set about adorning the city.
Having heard about the coronation of Rama, all the citizens began to decorate the city soon after daybreak.
Communal dharma: citizens participate in righteous celebration and public order, supporting a legitimate, dharmic transition of leadership.
As news spreads that Rāma will be consecrated, the people of Ayodhyā begin decorations at daybreak.
Collective devotion and loyalty: the populace expresses trust in Rāma’s righteousness through enthusiastic service.
