अद्यैवमनयं कृत्वा व्यपत्रपसि राघव।उत्तिष्ठ सुकृतं तेस्तु शोके नस्या त्सहायता।।।।

Transliteration

adyai vamanayaṃ kṛtvā vyapatrapasi rāghava | uttiṣṭha sukṛtaṃ te ’stu śoke na syāt sahāyatā ||

Translation

O Rāghava, having done this wrong, are you ashamed now? Rise up; let the merit of keeping your pledged word be yours—yet in grief there is no help.

Context

O descendant of the Raghus! are you ashamed of having done an injustice? Arise. you may be a blessed one (for fulfilling your promise). If you grieve, none will help you.
