तं श्रुत्वा समनुप्राप्तं रामं दशरथो नृपः।प्रवेशयामास गृहं विवक्षुः प्रियमुत्तमम्।।2.4.9।।

Transliteration

taṃ śrutvā samanuprāptaṃ rāmaṃ daśaratho nṛpaḥ | praveśayāmāsa gṛhaṃ vivakṣuḥ priyam uttamam ||2.4.9||

Translation

Hearing that Rāma had arrived, King Daśaratha had him ushered into his inner chamber, wishing to tell him something exceedingly pleasing.

Having heard of Rama's arrival, king Dasaratha got him admitted into his apartment to tell him something very pleasant.
