Shloka 2.32.2
द्वात्रिंशस्सर्गः — Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity
तं विप्रमग्न्यगारस्थं वन्दित्वा लक्ष्मणोऽब्रवीत्।सखेऽभ्यागच्छ पश्य त्वं वेश्म दुष्करकारिणः।।।।
taṃ vipram agnyagārasthaṃ vanditvā lakṣmaṇo 'bravīt | sakhe 'bhyāgaccha paśya tvaṃ veśma duṣkarakāriṇaḥ ||
After paying homage to that brāhmaṇa who was staying in the fire-sanctuary, Lakṣmaṇa said, “My friend, come—see the residence of Rāma, the accomplisher of difficult deeds.”
Lakshmana paid homage to him who was in the fire-sanctuary, and said O friend, come and see the palace of Rama who is the accomplisher of all difficult tasks.
He first offers respectful salutation to the brāhmaṇa, reflecting dharma as reverence to the learned and to sacred ritual space before speaking or acting.
By calling Rāma “duṣkarakāriṇ” (one who accomplishes difficult deeds), Lakṣmaṇa points to Rāma’s steadfast, truth-aligned resolve—his ability to uphold commitments even when they are hard.
