लक्ष्मणस्य वनानुगमन-प्रतिज्ञा तथा आयुध-संग्रहः (Lakshmana’s Vow to Follow Rama and the Retrieval of Divine Weapons)
तवैव तेजसा वीर भरतः पूजयिष्यति।कौसल्यां च सुमित्रां च प्रयतो नात्र संशयः।।।।
sa bhrātuś caraṇau gāḍhaṃ nipīḍya raghunandanaḥ | sītām uvāca atiyaśāṃ rāghavaṃ ca mahāvratam ||
Pressing his brother’s feet firmly, Lakṣmaṇa—the delight of the Raghu line—spoke to illustrious Sītā and to Rāghava, steadfast in his great vow.
Aware of your power O valiant one, Bharata will undoubtedly pay respect to Kausalya and Sumitra with all humility.
Reverence within family order (maryādā): even in crisis, Lakṣmaṇa approaches Rāma with humility and respect, honoring rightful authority and virtue.
Lakṣmaṇa, overwhelmed, physically clings to Rāma’s feet and begins addressing both Rāma and Sītā as the discussion turns to the forest-exile decision.
Bhakti-like devotion and service-mindedness (sevā-bhāva), shown through respectful bodily gesture and earnest speech.
