Shloka 2.3.32

यौवराज्याभिषेक-उपकल्पनम् (Preparations for Rama’s Installation as Yuvaraja)

स प्राञ्जलिरभिप्रेत्य प्रणतः पितुरन्तिके।।।।नाम स्वं श्रावयन्रामो ववन्दे चरणौ पितुः।

sa prāñjalir abhipretya praṇataḥ pitur antike |

nāma svaṃ śrāvayan rāmo vavande caraṇau pituḥ ||

With palms joined, Rāma approached his father, bowed low at his side, uttered his own name in humility, and reverently touched his father’s feet.

Rama, approached his father with folded palms and bowed low near him, pronounced his (own) name and touched his father's feet with reverence.

Dharma here is reverence toward parents and elders—expressed through humility, respectful approach, and traditional gestures of honoring one’s father.

Rāma comes into Daśaratha’s presence in the royal assembly context and formally greets him with deference.

Rāma’s vinaya (humility) and pitṛ-bhakti (devotion/respect toward his father).
