Shloka 2.25.11

कौशल्याया मङ्गलविधानम् — Kausalya’s Benedictions and Protective Rites for Rama

स्मृतिर्धृतिश्च धर्मश्च पातु त्वां पुत्र सर्वतः।।2.25.10।।स्कन्दश्च भगवान्देव स्सोमश्च स बृहस्पतिः।सप्तर्षयो नारदश्च ते त्वां रक्षन्तु सर्वतः।।2.25.11।।

skandaś ca bhagavān devaḥ somaś ca sa bṛhaspatiḥ |

saptarṣayo nāradaś ca te tvāṃ rakṣantu sarvataḥ || 2.25.11 ||

May the revered god Skanda, Soma, and Bṛhaspati—and the Seven Ṛṣis along with Nārada—protect you on every side.

O my son may Smriti, Dhriti and Dharma always guard you. May divine personages and gods, Skanda, Soma, Brihaspati, the seven rishis and Narada protect you at all times

The verse frames dharma as aligned with cosmic and spiritual order: sages and deities symbolize the safeguarding of righteous conduct and truthful resolve in adversity.

Protective invocations are offered to Rāma as he enters the dangers and uncertainties of the wilderness.

Rāma’s satya-niṣṭhā (steadfastness in truth): the blessing implies that divine and sage-like forces favor one who remains true to dharma.
