लक्ष्मणक्रोधः—दैवपुरुषकारविवादः (Lakshmana’s Wrath and the Debate on Destiny vs Human Effort)
लोकपालास्समस्ता स्ते नाद्य रामाभिषेचनम्।न च कृत्स्नास्त्रयो लोका विहन्युः किं पुनः पिता।।।।
lokapālāḥ samastās te nādya rāmābhiṣecanam |
na ca kṛtsnās trayo lokā vihanyuḥ kiṃ punaḥ pitā ||
Even if all the guardians of the quarters stood together, they could not obstruct Rāma’s consecration today; nor could all the three worlds—what then to say of our father?
All the guardians of the quarters and all the three worlds united cannot prevent the consecration of Rama today, what to speak of our father (king Dasaratha).
It asserts the moral inevitability of rightful order; dharma is portrayed as stronger than worldly or even cosmic opposition.
Lakṣmaṇa argues that Rāma’s consecration is unassailable and should not be prevented, minimizing even the king’s capacity to stop it.
