अभिषेक-निवृत्ति-उपदेशः (Withdrawal of the Coronation: Rama’s Counsel to Lakshmana)

सत्यस्सत्याभिसन्धश्च नित्यं सत्यपराक्रमः।परलोकभयाद्भीतो निर्भयोऽस्तु पिता मम।।।।

na lakṣmaṇāsmin khalu karma-vighne mātā yavīyasī atiśaṅkanīyā | daivābhipannā hi vadaty aniṣṭaṃ jānāsi daivaṃ ca tathā prabhāvam ||

O Lakṣmaṇa, in this obstruction to our intended act, our younger mother should not be excessively suspected. Overpowered by destiny she speaks what is unpleasant—you know how strong the force of destiny can be.

Let my father who is always truthful, who is really valiant, who is always striving for truth and who is afraid of the next world, be fearless.

R
Rāma
L
Lakṣmaṇa
K
Kaikeyī (yavīyasī mātā)
D
daiva (destiny/fate)
A
abhiṣeka (implied coronation act)

Dharma is restraint in judgment: Rāma discourages harsh blame and urges understanding, attributing the crisis to overpowering circumstances (daiva).

As Kaikeyī blocks the coronation, Rāma counsels Lakṣmaṇa not to turn suspicion into hostility against her.

Kṣamā (forgiveness) and equanimity—Rāma maintains moral clarity without vindictiveness.
