रामस्य राजमार्गगमनम् (Rama’s Progress along the Royal Highway)
अशीर्वादान्बहून् शृण्वन्सुहृद्भिस्समुदीरितान्।।।।यथार्हं चापि सम्पूज्य सर्वानेव नरान्ययौ।
aśīrvādān bahūn śṛṇvan suhṛdbhih samudīritān |
yathārhaṃ cāpi sampūjya sarvān eva narān yayau ||
Hearing many blessings spoken by his well-wishers, and honoring every person as was fitting, he went onward.
Hearing many words of blessings uttered by his friends and honouring each person according to his rank, he passed on.
Dharma as respectful social conduct: honoring people according to propriety sustains harmony and truthfulness in public life.
As Rāma moves through the city, he receives blessings and responds with fitting honors.
Humility and courtesy—Rāma acknowledges others with measured respect.
