शततमः सर्गः — Rāma Questions Bharata on Rājadharma

कच्चिद्धारयते तात राजा यत्त्वमिहाऽगतः।कच्चिन्न दीन स्सहसा राजा लोकान्तरं गतः।।।।
kaccid dhārayate tāta rājā yat tvam ihāgataḥ | kaccin na dīnaḥ sahasā rājā lokāntaraṃ gataḥ ||
Dear child, now that you have come here—does the king still live on? May it be that the king did not, in sudden despondency, pass away to the other world.
My dear (brother), now that you have come here, I trust, king Dasaratha is keeping good health and hope, he has not departed prematurely in despondency for the other world.
