The illustrious Rāma cut up the deer’s flesh, formed it into portions, and offered it to the bird on a lovely green grassy ground.
Tearing the flesh of the deer to pieces and making them into balls, the celebrated Rama laid it on a lovely, green grassy land as offering to the bird.
Dharma is expressed as honoring obligations with appropriate offerings; reverence is shown through action aligned with tradition and sincerity.
Rāma prepares and places the food-offering connected with the funerary observances for Jatāyu.
Devotion to duty and gratitude—Rāma treats Jatāyu’s rites with the same care given to a respected elder.
