Just as the illustrious and prosperous King Daśaratha is, for me, worthy of reverence and honor, so too is this lord of birds.
This lord of the birds for me is as worthy of reverence and honour as the famous and prosperous king Dasaratha.
Honor based on virtue and relationship, not species: Rāma places Jaṭāyu on the level of his own father in reverence, affirming dharma as recognition of moral worth.
Rāma elevates Jaṭāyu’s status in his heart, declaring him worthy of the same honor he would give King Daśaratha.
Rāma’s reverence and fidelity to truth—publicly acknowledging a benefactor’s greatness.
