रामक्रोधवर्णनम् — Lakshmana’s Counsel to the Enraged Rama
येन राजन्हृता सीता तमन्वेषितुमर्हसि।।।।मद्वितीयो धनुष्पाणिस्सहायैः परमर्षिभिः।
yena rājan hṛtā sītā tam anveṣitum arhasi |
mad-dvitīyo dhanuṣpāṇiḥ sahāyaiḥ paramarṣibhiḥ ||
O king, you should seek out the one by whom Sītā was carried away—bow in hand—with me as your second, and with the aid of the great ṛṣis.
O king! bow in hands, followed by me and with the help of great sages you should search for the one who has abducted Sita.
Dharma channels emotion into rightful effort: instead of cosmic rage, Lakṣmaṇa urges disciplined pursuit of the wrongdoer with proper support.
Lakṣmaṇa proposes an actionable plan—search for the abductor—with himself as companion and with sages as allies.
Lakṣmaṇa’s initiative and service (sevā) are emphasized—he offers partnership and practical guidance at a crisis moment.
