सीताहरणोत्तरं लङ्काप्रवेशः — Sita’s Abduction and Ravana’s Entry into Lanka

नानाप्रहरणाः क्षिप्रमितो गच्छत सत्वराः।जनस्थानं हतस्थानं भूतपूर्वं खरालयम्।।।।

nānāpraharaṇāḥ kṣipram ito gacchata satvarāḥ | janasthānaṁ hatasthānaṁ bhūtapūrvaṁ kharālayam ||

Armed with various weapons, go quickly from here—at once, without delay—to Janasthāna, the place where Khara once dwelt and where he was slain.

Armed with different weapons, proceed at once to Janasthana where Khara lived and died.

The verse functions as a contrast to dharma: it shows militarized retaliation and mobilization driven by grievance. In the Ramayana’s ethical frame, such haste toward violence—untethered from justice—signals adharma.

After the defeat at Janasthāna (where Khara fell), Rāvaṇa orders his forces to move immediately to that region.

Not a virtue but a trait: forceful command and urgency, reflecting Rāvaṇa’s escalating resolve to pursue vengeance.
