anena rākṣasendreṇa karuṇaṃ pāpakarmaṇā |

O Jaṭāyu, look at me now—carried off pitiably like one without a protector—by this lord of rākṣasas, a man of sinful deeds.

O Jatayu, see me now being carried away by the sinful king of demons in this pitiable condition as though I am an orphan.

Protection of the helpless is a dharmic imperative; naming the act as pāpa (sinful) frames abduction as adharma and calls righteous beings to intervene.

Sītā appeals directly to Jaṭāyu as she is being carried away by Rāvaṇa.

Moral discernment and courage: Sītā publicly identifies wrongdoing and seeks dharmic protection.
