Shloka 3.49.33

सीताहरणम् — Ravana reveals his true form and abducts Sita

दैवतानि च यान्यस्मिन्वने विविधपादपे।।3.49.33।।नमस्करोम्यहं तेभ्योभर्तुश्शंसत मां हृताम्।

daivatāni ca yāny asmin vane vividhapādape || 3.49.33 || namaskaromy ahaṁ tebhyo bhartuḥ śaṁsata māṁ hṛtām |

To all the deities who dwell in this forest of many kinds of trees, I bow in reverence. Tell my husband that I have been seized and carried away.

I offer my salutations to different deities residing in this forest abounding in trees of many kinds. Tell my husband about me that I am being whisked away.

Dharma includes reliance on truth and rightful order: Sītā seeks that the truth reach her lawful protector, invoking divine witnesses.

While being abducted, Sītā prays to the deities of the forest to inform Rāma of her abduction.
