विराधवधः — The Slaying (Burial) of Viradha
ततस्तु तौ काञ्चनचित्रकार्मुकौ निहत्य रक्षः परिगृह्य मैथिलीम्।विजह्रतु स्तौ मुदितौ महावने दिवि स्थितौ चन्द्रदिवाकराविव।।।।
muṣṭibhir jānubhiḥ padbhiḥ sūdayantau tu rākṣasam | udyamya-udyamya cāpy enaṃ sthaṇḍile niṣpipēṣatuḥ ||
Striking the rākṣasa with fists, knees, and feet, they lifted him again and again and crushed him down upon the bare ground.
With Viradha killed, they, accompanied by Sita, wandered happily in the dense forest, carrying their brilliant bows adorned with molten gold.
