Application: Use as a mnemonic for textual context: chapter boundaries, speakers, and dialogue frames help preserve accurate recitation and transmission.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A manuscript folio rests on a wooden lectern as a reciter concludes the chapter; behind him, Brahmā and Nārada appear in a subtle visionary vignette, indicating the dialogue frame. The scene emphasizes continuity of tradition—ink, palm leaves, and the hush of completion.","primary_figures":["reciter (paurāṇika)","Nārada (visionary)","Brahmā (visionary)"],"setting":"Temple library or āśrama study hall with palm-leaf manuscripts, ink pot, and a small Viṣṇu lamp in the background.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["lamp-flame amber","palm-leaf tan","ink black","sandalwood beige","deep brown"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: concluding manuscript scene—paurāṇika reciter at a lectern with palm-leaf folios, a small Viṣṇu lamp with gold leaf glow, visionary Brahmā and Nārada in the upper register with gilded halos, ornate borders and embossed gold detailing on manuscript edges.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate āśrama interior with delicate lines, reciter finishing a chapter beside palm-leaf manuscripts, soft lamplight, faint ethereal Brahmā–Nārada vignette above, cool muted palette and refined facial features.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: stylized scholar-reciter with bold outlines, manuscript bundle and lamp, Brahmā and Nārada depicted in iconic mural conventions in a framed upper panel, warm pigment palette with decorative borders.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: symmetrical border of floral motifs around a central lectern and manuscript, small lamp and conch motifs, upper medallions featuring Brahmā and Nārada, intricate textile patterning with deep blues and gold accents."}

FAQs

It is a colophon (chapter end-marker) indicating the closure of Adhyāya 6 within the Brahma-khaṇḍa and naming the dialogue frame (Brahmā–Nārada).

It is a conventional closure formula meaning “thus (ends) the chapter,” used by scribes/editors to mark boundaries between chapters.

The verse explicitly identifies the section as part of the Brahmā–Nārada conversation (brahma-nārada-saṃvāda).
