Application: Learn the lunar calendar basics (tithi, pakṣa, māsa); plan observance with correct timing; approach teachers with humility and specific questions to practice accurately.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: city

FAQs

It points to kṛṣṇa-aṣṭamī in Bhādra (Bhādrapada), widely associated with Janārdana/Kṛṣṇa’s birth—i.e., the Janmāṣṭamī tithi.

Janārdana is a revered epithet of Viṣṇu, often used for Kṛṣṇa/Vāsudeva in devotional and festival contexts.

He models śravaṇa (devotional listening): respectfully requesting sacred instruction from a sage to understand the significance of a holy time and divine manifestation.
