The Dialogue between Rukmāṅgada and Dharmāṅgada
एवं ज्ञात्वा तु युष्माभिः स्मर्तव्यो गरुडध्वजः । ब्रह्मार्पणप्रयोगेण यजनीयो जनार्दनः ॥ ३१ ॥
evaṃ jñātvā tu yuṣmābhiḥ smartavyo garuḍadhvajaḥ | brahmārpaṇaprayogeṇa yajanīyo janārdanaḥ || 31 ||
Knowing thus, you should remember the Lord who bears Garuḍa on His banner; and by the practice of offering everything as Brahman (as a consecrated oblation), Janārdana should be worshipped.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that true worship of Viṣṇu (Garuḍadhvaja/Janārdana) is grounded in constant remembrance and in sanctifying one’s actions by dedicating them as offerings—turning ritual and daily life into God-centered practice.
Bhakti is expressed here as smaraṇa (remembrance) of Viṣṇu and as īśvara-arpana (offering to the Lord): worship is not only external rite but an inner attitude of dedicating every act to Janārdana.
It highlights ritual application (prayoga) in yajña/upāsanā: the disciplined method of offering (arpana) with the correct intention—treating the act and its fruits as consecrated to the Divine (brahmārpaṇa).
